Broken Wing 03:36
I will Take you Under my broken wings If you’ll be my voice When I need to sing Under my broken wings We met Neon bright But I can’t get enough of the night I’ve made my mistakes But you make them right Down in the dim of the lights It’s so Hard to know Where this new road is gonna go But I’ll take it Anyway Cause a new view looks better to me There are paths You cross Find you when all seems so lost They answer when you ask If life’s worth the cost You stand when the last choice is fall So let’s Follow through And I know just what this means to you My heart beat’s a drum Honey I feel it too Down where the sky’s black and blue It’s so Hard to know Where this new road is gonna go But I’ll take it Anyway Cause a new view looks better to me
2.
Vice 03:44
I wanna know your vice I wanna know your price I wanna know what makes you sick and keeps you up at night I wanna get to know your lips Outline em with my finger tips I want you and all of your secrets I want you just outside my grip I got to know you your breath Warm against my neck And ever since that moment past Been ages since I slept You caught me in a corner once Showed me what we could become And after every setting sun I want your fever on my tongue Lately I’ve been thinkin In between the lines of wants and needs Days when I don't feel it Seem to be fall few and far between Just as your vice might have you bleed I wanna taste your words I wanna put in work I wanna call you up so late and heal you till it hurts I wanna see inside your soul To grab ahold and take control I want to conquer all your doubt I want to own you inside out Lately I’ve been thinkin In between the lines of wants and needs Days when I don't feel it Seem to be fall few and far between Just as your vice might have you bleed
3.
Barricade 03:18
I specialize in leaving Reliving and believing in myself And all the times I’ve strayed I’m not the kind of woman to start a war and lose one But your touch it puts a crack in my barricade And no flower mystique or secret I keep Could bare to distinct or keep me away I’m fine I’m aware But I feel unprepared In the shadows of the past and the mess I made I’m afraid but I ain’t running Pull the shades and let the sun in This winter has plagued me for far too long So open to me lover Like you’ve never loved another Reborn, you’ve awakened my heart with your song Surrender my pride Give into the tide Afloat in an ocean of forest rain When I open my eyes You’re right there beside And we bask in the joy and we dance through the pain So long I tried And longed to fly And fell to the unforgiving earth that I’ve made I severed ties and cursed the skies with ease Leaving broken hearts and tears in my wake So suddenly so hopeful for love I forgot to hope for Contented with you in our renaissance So onward and upward No reasons now to suffer The horizon is all we could need or could want
4.
Mockingbird 04:13
Mockingbirds with punctured lungs Singing at a severed sun Cut in two against the blue The moon don't mourn when day is done Walking with my fevered dream Seamlessly we shift our aims Secrets in our corners kept But black and whites in phones are framed Impatiently we kill the time Choke with gentle hands sublime Learn and love and push and shove Know our light will soon arrive Hold who we can never own Know what isn't meant to show Braid our lines behind the night Behind closed eyes we merge and moan And I won't look the other way Or idly wait another day So we camouflage our crowns And reign over the bed we made Mocking birds sing through the night Ceaseless with the red sun rise So we'll raise the voice they gave I've seen you hit heaven's height Jacob's ladder reaching down Bathing in the flash we found Our raven hair and solace here So hold me while the ship goes down
5.
I share a wall wakes me up in the night In a neighborhood quiet we sleep though our sight There’s nothing to tell we look our own way Ignore every hell while we sweat from the blaze Nights after work where the bourbon should tame But the burdens he bears let the wilds remain He raises his hands like a gun to the sky And bruises on bones all to easy to hide And love is a promise and life is a lie Escape is a virtue so faint in her eyes And days filled with cigarettes regret and wine Stalling and falling all tethered in time There’s really nothing much more I could say If there is a god something’s caught in his way The blood grown and gone but the venom remains The thunder and lightening done brought down the rain
6.
Fortress 03:48
Your fortress is a fraud Façade for all to see You hold it to the chest And wear a forgery So does it work for you And would it work for me Cause I been getting worked with My heart on my sleeve Silence is a virtue Til it is too late And ears no longer there To cradle all you say Temper up your mind And smile to your grave Could always turn around Could always be too late Soldiers Running Whispers Round bleed  black Beneath the night The moon is new The streets lamps dim I never felt the fight My thoughts in a fever frenzied up and fearful to No matter where I aim then always land on you Can you see the past What little you have left Cause there’s no going back If you take one more step But that’s one point of view We know there’s always two But I can’t read the Braille Of subtle hints and clues
7.
She's the mother of wolves On a new moon midnight And there's bones in her homes When the black is this bright It's a short solstice day And the long moan of night And there's rust on the blade And spells in her eyes It's volcano black By the blue of the ice And an ocean as vast Deep and long as the night Finally a fresh fang In the crescent that hangs On an ebony canvas That howls when it sings She the mother of wolves And she taught them to run To the edge of the earth Giving chase to the sun Where she hardened her hands By the cold oceans groan Pushing them into land Til she raised a new home
8.
No midnight train No sweet refrain No realization No remains No bones about it Anymore No guns blazing No more war No red sunset Escape car No gulf stream breeze No getting far No made amends Just made mistakes A high speed chase With tampered brakes No greatest hits No prime time play No questions posed To yesterday No heavy dose No perfect score No getting close There is no more No tall tales told To guide the way You live you learn You burn through days You breathe your words This air your page And hope it matters in some way And I found my reason Lose them every season Something to believe in Something left to do Love is every answer All that’s worth our chances All our stolen glances Leading me to you
9.
Fast Fever 04:23
I felt your fast fever I followed your leader I asked for the truth In truth wanted neither I was a believer In hoaxes and ghost But hard to devote To someone so close I can’t be your only And no one can own me And I wanted something Just someone to hold me The last left me lonely Queen of the cold And we tip toe round fears of Old and alone And it’s a bridge we’re crossing Venom calling for me Put it off for now Put it off for now And it’s a silent warning Til it’s silence storming Put it off for now Put it off for now And I owned a clear mind For a sliver of time And it slipped in a second Some things are so slight Fell through the hands Like soft sand and my plans And I toss and I turn And I learn when I land
10.
You went for a walk Said you didn’t care You were too tired to fear anymore You needed to talk We’re a chatty pair I listened and never was bored You came to me with a heart like an angry sea Tied to your tempest I guess you got the best of me And there’s nothing to do but hold on And weather the storm And try to keep warm These bends and bows are taking their toll The summer has passed and it’s winter at last And I knew I would more like the cold So let the wind blow Let the wind blow You fell to your knees Said an honest prayer I had hope in my mind for your heart What words will you weave When you clear the air Lord leaving and needing is hard Falling is free but landing’s a lofty cost Out in the sea there is nowhere to be but lost And there’s nothing to do but hold on And weather the storm And try to keep warm These bends and bows are taking their toll The summer has passed and it’s winter at last And I knew I would more like the cold So let the wind blow Let the wind blow
